FCR RACING!

Postby durl » Thu Aug 20, 2009 12:22 am

As I mentioned on the Eddie's forum, the idea of running FCR cars really appeals to me. They're big, simple, slow and cheap (like me) and racing them is a blast. Straight FCR rules are fine, and they run them at Fast Tracks, where they seem to be pretty popular.

Gary Hooks got me hooked (tee hee) on hardbody Nascars like this: Image

The body is a Revell Pro Finish car you can usually find on eBay for 10 or 15 bucks (even cheaper if you're clever and lucky), and they fit the FCR chassis perfectly. They come with most of the detailing already painted on, and a set of decals for contingencies, details, etc.

Don't know if anybody else is interested, but these are the best looking stockcars you will EVER see on a slot car track. And they're easy.

Anybody else interested?

Eddie's is now running FCRs on the second Sunday of the month, starting at 2 p.m.

They're also starting a points series that will run til the end of the year. More info is coming on prizes, etc. and Randy will be posting results and standings on here soon.

Season 2

Postby durl » Fri Dec 24, 2010 11:58 am

Hey folks,

Eddie's is starting up the second season of FCR racing with improved rules and we're looking forward to more participation with new and entry level racers.

These cars are cheap, fun and competitive, and FCR impressario Randy Tragni is hoping it can catch on at other tracks and we can make a regional series out of it. They already run them at Rocklin and have a good turnout.

Rules are posted in the Eddie's SLot Car World section. There is also a new FCR page on eddie's web site click here.
