Oh jeez, not ANOTHER slot car forum !!!!

Sorry, yes, and here's why. With recent track closures, cancellations and cutbacks of race series and fluctuating attendance, I felt that there was the need for a source of information, ideas, communication and community among slot racing enthusiasts in Northern California. Regardless of the scale(s) you like, the types of cars you prefer, or the tracks you frequent, there should be a place on the web that you can visit to share and participate in with friends and strangers.

What hopefully makes this forum unique and worthy of your participation, is that the content here is geared EXCLUSIVELY to racers in Northern California. We certainly welcome the participation of folks from other parts of the world, but first and foremost, the purpose here is to increase the sense of community among those of us in this area. There are plenty of other forums whose focus and desire is in attracting as many participants from everywhere, and I certainly have no beef with that. I just hope that Pit Space's smaller focus will help make it more comfortable for those who simply don't care about debate and conversation about issues from all over the world. Issues which may or may not have anything to do with slot car racing in NorCal.

If you're a track owner, or leader of a racing organization I invite you to become a moderator for your particular forum. I have tried to create discrete forums for every track and sanctioning body in Northern California, to provide a place where you and your customers and participants can create, share and communicate with each other. Hopefully this will be beneficial to you as a marketing tool and as a way to generate excitement and participation. Once you've registered, please shoot me a PM, and I'll be happy to make you or your designates a moderator. This gives you the ability to manage content on your particular forum.

If you're a slot racing enthusiast or just curious about racing in NorCal, I hope you'll register and participate.

Thanks,
Durl
