Wolf skates off to take the first win of the 2012 Bay Area FCR season at Eddie’s Slot Car World. The season opener is now in the history books.
Wolf walked away with a win against a large group of competitors at Eddie’s to take the Bay Area FCR opener. Randy Tragni took a strong 2nd place while Uncle Gary took a decisive 3rd place in his quest to to snuff the competition.
Six racers bumped and rubbed NASCARs on the Blue King track for the first race of the season. There was plenty of carnage, nerfing and flops to the floor during the race. All racers had a great time!
Wolf took a strong win with 219 laps. While still grabbing the win, Wolf spent the last 5 laps of the race side lined in the pits with a loose (maybe stripped?) gear. Randy took second place with 214 laps and also fastest overall lap of 5.866 on orange. Uncle G clocked in 210 laps followed by Nathan (208), Tom (201) and newbie Maurice in his debut race (187). Maurice impressed everyone with good clean racing and a lot of speed for a first time racer.
Thanks to Eddie and Janet Wong for a great season starter. This season is only going to get better!
Points are awarded to the first six finishers:
10 points for first place, 8 points for second, 6 points for third, 4 points for fourth, 2 points for fifth, 1 points for sixth.

In second place was Randy with 225 laps and a fast lap of 5.92.
In third place, with a great and very competitive drive, was Nathan Sinclair with 217 laps.
