Hi Durl,
Now here is something I don't like, I tried to go back after writing my little whatever, and the damn page has expired and now if I want to see anything else I have to start all over...At least with my primitive knowledge of how to use one of these things goes, that's it .....Is there another way??????????
So, I'm done.

Hey Crash,

Welcome, thanks for joining up, and I wish I knew what the problem was, as I've never heard anything of your description happening to anyone else making a post here (all right I know right now its only me and three other guys but still...).

PROBLEM SOLVED (I hope)! For some reason, one of the setting on the board was to end a users session after 3600 seconds (one hour, if my math is correct). I went in and changed that setting to 99900 seconds. Hopefully that will end the problem you suffered. :)

I liked your original post, by the way, and as the man said "Baby, please don't go".

UPDATE

A recent visit to the FreeForums Support Center revealed that a potential problem with the time out issue may be in using Internet Explorer 8 as your browser. The program used to create this forum has some compatibility issues with IE8. Supposedly they are working on a fix, but until then, maybe try Firefox, Safari or another brand.

I know this is a sucky "fix". I mean, who wants to use a different browser just to come here? I sure wouldn't.

Another "fix" is to clear the cookies from your browser "every once in a while" and re-login.

I have posted our specific problem to the forum and hope to get a better response/solution soon. Until then, I hope you'll hang in there.

Thanks,
Durl

Dear Crash, Santa, BigDaddy and all PS users:

The best response I've gotten from the techs at FreeForums is to, in fact, clear your cookies every once in a while.

I trust you all can see the little "delete all board cookies" link down at the bottom right of the main Pit Stop page. Clicking that will delete only the cookies here and NOT your other cookies.

I hope you will try that if you are having problems and get back to me as to whether or not it worked.

Thanks for your patience.
