HI BOYS!!

JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS A GOOD AIR GAP FOR THE ARMATURE TO THE MAGNETS FOR LETS SAY 16D AND S.WASP,HORNET,CONTENDERS AND X-12???

BigDaddySlotRat,
For a 16D a good general starting point is a total gap of 0.015 to 0.020 (0.0075 per side to 0.010). The gap needs to be factored with type of can, magnets, comm timing, etc. I like my motors a little loose so they will coast into the turns and typically set them up towards the high side of the tolerance. I also get beat lot too : )
I hope some real motors builders chime in with more info....
