Race 3 of the 2011 FCR Championship
The third race of the 2011 FCR Championship was held at Eddie’s Slot Car World
The race was great fun as always but the drivers seemed to suffer from many lapses of skill and concentration. There were a number of large wrecks and crashes putting some of the regulars back a few laps.
Chris Chakires now leads the championship!
The win was taken by Chris (+10). Chris completed 240 smooth and efficient laps as well as the fastest lap of the race at 5.53 on green. Way to go Chris!
In second place was Racer XXX (formerly known by another name…) with 235 laps (+8).
Third place went to Captain Ernie with 232 laps (+6).
Fourth place was taken by FCR regular Randy Tragni with 219 laps (+4).
Fifth place was taken by Gary Kolbas with 213 laps (+2).
Sixth place was run by regular racer Uncle Gary with 159 laps (+1). UG was out with car trouble through part of the race.
Just out of the points was Dan M. who also had car trouble.
Points are awarded to the first six finishers:
10 points for first place, 8 points for second, 6 points for third, 4 points for fourth, 2 points for fifth, 1 points for sixth.
