Race 4 of the 2011 FCR Championship
The 4th race of the 2011 FCR Championship was held at Eddie’s Slot Car World on Sunday April 18th.
The race was great fun for the all the Sunday regulars but attendance sucked! Where was everyone? This was a really fun event with only a handful of people running.
Randy Tragni now leads the championship ahead of Chris (at the moment at least)!
The win was taken by Captain Ernie (+10) using a borrowed car from Randy (who vowed to never do that again). Ernie drove a clean race and completed 222 laps as well as the fastest lap of the race at 5.92 on yellow. The skipper managed to avoid most of the carnage on the track.
In second place was Uncle Gary with 221 laps (+8). Uncle Gary seemed to have found a lot of speed somewhere. Congratulations on an excellent drive.
Third place went to Randy Tragni with 215 laps (+6).
Fourth place was taken by FCR regular Gary Kolbas with 213 laps (+4).
Points are awarded to the first six finishers:
10 points for first place, 8 points for second, 6 points for third, 4 points for fourth, 2 points for fifth, 1 points for sixth.
The Championship so far:
Randy Tragni leads with 22 (+6) points.
Chris Chakires with 20 (no change) points
Captain Ernie with 16 points (+10)
Racer XXX (aka Calvin) with 14 points (+8)
Gary Klobas with 11 points (+4)
Uncle Gary with 11 points (+8)
Gary Hooks with 10 points (no change)
Randy Keil with 8 points (no change)
Tom Joseph with 6 points (no change)
Richard with 2 points (+2)
Next Race is May 15th at Eddie’s. Come on people, show up and race!
There was also a JK Hawk LMP race held on the Motherlode. These are the JK Hawk CanAm cars we have been running with revised bodies and more downforce. The win was taken by Captain Ernie, followed by Gary Klobas, Randy Tragni and Dave Springer.
