No firm date for NorCal yet, Durl.
Agent '32 Deuce' Zimmerman has just run his first round on a mini-commercial style club track in St Charles, MO. He has a further two rounds to run in his local area and these will possibly take place on the next two consecutive weeks.
The plan is for the cars to then travel to Chicagoland Raceway. Mike Swiss is currently relocating his operation but still seems keen to run the cars in the 4-8 week time frame I suggested to him. He'll be starting a thread on that 'other' forum when his ducks are all in a proper line.
There's a small chance of a further round somewhere before the cars head for Harley. I originally had a round pencilled in to be held at Keystone Raceway but this was a year ago, before Mark Greene took himself off my personal radar. Last I heard, Keystone is either going to shut down or radically down-size in a new location.
I have someone in mind to approach about running a round at their track but, other than this small possibility, the cars will be heading straight to Stockton after Chicago.
And whatever is left when you're done with them will be off to Sydney, Australia afterwards ...
Mike Z. has done us proud with a great race report from his first race on
SlotForum and he's even thrown some uncut race footage on to
YouTube.
Nothing would give me, the other SunChaser entrants, and the whole Thingie Crew more pleasure that to see the NorCal gang, BIGDADDYSLOTRAT, Big Durl, The Vitter and Smokie reunited and having some fun with the cars. I'm hoping that can happen.
As long as the cars are taken care of, you guys have carte blanche to run them however and wherever pleases you.
Oh, but you do have to take plenty of photos and report back to us often!
Remember, whatever time it is,

It's always SunChaser O'Clock somewhere ...
Regards,
Steve.
Steve Kempson, naturally ...
